KRISTEN-opt.jpg

As a mother and a business owner, Kristen knows what it’s like to worry about the things that matter most. As an attorney, she passionately protects her clients’ interests so that they can focus on what is most important to them.

Kristen was a Big 10 scholarship athlete before graduating summa cum laude at Michigan State University College of Law. Her experience working as a law clerk for the Michigan Court of Appeals and Supreme Court followed by eight years at a large regional law firm before concentrating her practice in the Columbia Gorge exposed her to a wide range of cases. It also allowed her to develop a cross-disciplinary approach for finding creative solutions. When businesses and individuals hire Kristen, they get the ultimate team member to protect and advise them toward peace of mind.

As a Public Sector Attorney, Kristen has more than 15 years of experience advising governmental entities. Throughout her career, she has committed herself to helping counties, cities, libraries, community colleges and special districts address the wide array of issues and legal challenges they regularly face. Fiercely protective of public resources, Kristen takes as much pride in being a “problem preventer” as a “problem solver.”

As a Business Attorney, Kristen’s extensive background includes providing legal counsel in the areas of corporate guidance, business law, non-profit law, real estate, contract negotiations and employment. Kristen helps start-ups, new business owners and serial entrepreneurs with their legal needs — ranging from how to get started to negotiating contracts and resolving unforeseen issues. Kristen helps companies and individuals find, build and create solutions for complex legal matters from start to finish. No problem is too complex for Kristen to break down and find the solution.

As an Insurance Lawyer, Kristen represents insured businesses and homeowners in insurance disputes and bad faith claims. Kristen is passionate about helping clients maximize their insurance coverage and get results they deserve. She has handled many insurance law cases that have resulted in substantial recoveries for her clients.

When she’s not working, Kristen can be found on the tennis court or her mountain bike, hiking or running the local trails, or helping her young son’s nonprofit, Anson’s Bike Buddies, collect, repair and donate bikes to families in need.
